Privacy Statement

The new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force on 25th May 2018 and sets out new requirements for all businesses about how data is collected and managed. Under these rules, the privacy policy for how your data is collected and managed has been updated below.

What information is being collected?

Your name and email address will have been stored only if you have given your active consent. This may be directly through the website, emails or you have attended one of my courses. If you also consent to receive marketing materials, such as my (not very) regular newsletter, your first name and email will be stored on Mailchimp.

How is it collected?

When you agree to receive marketing materials your data is collected manually from your consent email and entered into Mailchimp. If you have been on a course or individually requester to be kept in touch with future workshops, I will keep your email address on my computer, which is not shared with anyone else. Alternatively, you can consent to receive marketing materials through the subscriber option on the website. These subscriber details from the website go directly to Mailchimp.

Why is it being collected?

Your first name and email are collected into Mailchimp in order to send marketing communications such as the monthly newsletter and details of classes, events and new publications. You will only receive this if you have given your active consent.

How will it be used?

Your data is used to create a list of those who wish to receive marketing communications. It will not be shared with any other party.

What if I want to unsubscribe?

All newsletters have a simple unsubscribe button, and you can let me know at any time if you would like your name taken off my lists.
